Q. How does my school get access to FF4Kids?

A. The courseware is being delivered to all Kansas elementary and middle schools free-of-charge through their Empowered Desktop by Kan-ed/LearningStation. Your Empowered Desktop is can be reached at kportal.learningstation.com

All you need to have it "turned on" for your school is to send one or more teachers to a workshop for training. Several workshops are already scheduled throughout the state. In addition, in-service training is also available upon request. Either method will make FF4Kids available through your school's Empowered Desktop by Kan-ed/Learning Station. It is hoped this teacher will return to school and share with the other teachers how to use the courseware.

Q. A representative from our school has attended a workshop, but there is no icon on our school's Empowered Desktop that accesses FF4Kids.

A. The KCEE notifies the LearningStation people once your school is authorized to access the training. It might take a little while for the the icon to show up on your Empowered Desktop. Please contact us if it has been more than 10 working days and your icon is still not there.

Q. Can I reproduce pages from the Teachers Guide?

A. Yes, please do.

Q. How do I report a mistake I found on the courseware or make a suggestion for improvement?

A. Email KCEE@wichita.edu or call 316-978-5183 to report an error or make a suggestion.
